There are some gingko tree alleys in my local park. The tall, slender stems in straight lines have something calming. I enjoy walking among them, touching the trunks.

The alleys lead nowhere, really, but with their mild green foliage in summer and their subtle yet powerful yellow in fall, they mark a beautiful spot.
