What’s up? I finally finished my “Walk in Williamsburg”. Color, line, and movement. There are three distinct moods in here and I intend for the print to be read in a kind of circular movement: first, the heavy, static red wedge, the stabilizing weight of the print.

Then the busy area on the left that attempts to break away from the weight; it is busy in terms of color, form, and composition; there is a struggle happening to get up and away, to break free.

And finally, the point of rest in the center. The movement stops here – but is there resolution? One may have gained freedom, but one is suspended in mid-air…
